Colleagues,

Today is my first day on the ground here with the LSU family, and I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to let you know how honored I am to join a faculty whose reputation for excellence stretches far beyond Louisiana. Great universities are built on the strength of their scholars. Your research, creative work, and commitment to teaching and service define LSU’s national standing and shape its future.

I am deeply committed to ensuring that you have the support, resources, and collaborative environment needed to pursue ambitious scholarship. My goal is to work alongside you, the Provost, deans, and other leadership to remove barriers, bolster opportunities, and elevate LSU’s research portfolio in ways that reflect the depth and breadth of your expertise and drive for success.

Though the end of the semester and subsequent holidays loom, you will soon see me making the rounds across campus and every other component of our scholarly enterprise.
