Dear LSU Students,
Welcome back to campus, and welcome to a new semester at LSU.
Whether you are returning after a well-earned break or joining us for your very first
semester at the flagship, I am glad you are here. Each new term brings fresh opportunities
to learn, to grow, to challenge yourself, and to move closer to the future you are
building.
At LSU, we are deeply committed to your success. That means outstanding teaching and
advising, meaningful research and experiential learning opportunities, and a campus
community that supports you both inside and outside the classroom. It also means ensuring
that every student who comes to LSU has a clear path to graduation and is prepared
for the career or next step of their choosing.
I encourage you to take full advantage of everything this semester has to offer. Ask
questions. Get involved. Seek out mentors. Take care of yourself and one another.
You belong here, and your presence and contributions make this university stronger.
I wish you a productive, healthy, and successful spring semester. I look forward to
seeing all that you will accomplish.
Geaux Tigers,

James T. Dalton, Ph.D.
