Being a counselor for the past 22 years, and having navigated college as first generation and transfer student, I know how critical a college experience can be not just educationally but emotionally and socially in a person’s life trajectory. I consider it an honor to be a part of this life transition for our students, and I am committed to ensuring it is both positive and safe.

I love working with people who are experiencing life challenges, encouraging and empowering them through their journey to healing. I hope to leave each student I see in a better position than when they first came to see me, driven more by a sense of calling than any paycheck. I have a passion for supporting students with mental health issues and/or disabilities and trying to make our campus a better place for all.

Alternate career

If I didn't have this job, I would want to run an animal refuge and provide therapy to anyone in need.

A few of my passions

I am passionate about educating others about mental illness and supporting this in my community. I am also a huge fan of animals and pet assisted therapy. I also enjoy supporting our pregnant and parenting students in balancing these two difficult life journeys.

Advice I don't leave home without

Do good things and good things will happen.
