Returning Students
Welcome back!
Check out the Semester Checklist to ensure you don't miss a step. Each semester, you must submit an Accommodation Request through the Access Portal. Although you may access the portal at all times, accommodation request(s) are available for submission as early as ten business days before the first day of classes.
If you have trouble accessing the portal or need to amend your accommodations, schedule an appointment with your DS Access Coordinator through the Access Portal or contact our office.
If you are already registered, please review your eligibility and other pertinent information through your Access Portal.

More About Documentation
Documentation from a Qualified Professional
To ensure that you receive the appropriate auxiliary aids, academic adjustments, and other accommodations, it's important to provide current and comprehensive documentation from a qualified professional. This can be a licensed medical doctor, school counselor, or other healthcare professional familiar with your condition.
Examples of Documentation
If you're a student with a visual disability, we’ll need details on your visual acuity and recommended accommodations. For those with hearing impairments, an audiogram from a licensed audiologist will be required.
For learning disabilities, documentation from a licensed psychologist should include a diagnosis, testing results, and descriptions of functional limitations in an educational setting. Evaluations should be recent—within three years if conducted before the age of 18, or within five years if conducted after. While you are encouraged to submit any existing IEPs or 504 plans, please note that these alone may not be sufficient.
