The Roger Hadfield Ogden Honors College is a community of scholars made up of students from each senior college at Louisiana State University. Our interdisciplinary honors curriculum is designed to complement your overall LSU experience by providing additional opportunities within your major and the university-at-large.
Ogden Honors College students earn the same credit hours as any other LSU student to graduate with a bachelor’s degree, but will earn a portion of them as honors credits. There are a variety of ways to earn honors credits, ranging from major-specific classes, honors options, internships, and studying abroad.
As an Honors College student, you will take smaller classes and build relationships with professors and classmates across different areas of study. At the same time, you will still enjoy all the opportunities and traditions that come with attending a major SEC, Research 1-designated university.
When you live in Laville Honors House, you will be part of a close-knit community within LSU’s larger campus. With Laville, the French House, and the 459 Dining Hall all located next to each other, Honors College students have a space to live, study, dine, and connect together every day.
Many Ogden Honors College students get involved in research, internships, leadership roles, and hands-on learning early in their time at LSU. Whether you are hoping to prepare for graduate school, a global career, or your first big internship, we will help you build the skills and experiences to get there.
