The Ogden Difference

What is the Ogden Honors College?

The Roger Hadfield Ogden Honors College is a community of scholars made up of students from each senior college at Louisiana State University. Our interdisciplinary honors curriculum is designed to complement your overall LSU experience by providing additional opportunities within your major and the university-at-large.

Ogden Honors College students earn the same credit hours as any other LSU student to graduate with a bachelor’s degree, but will earn a portion of them as honors credits. There are a variety of ways to earn honors credits, ranging from major-specific classes, honors options, internships, and studying abroad.

[I've enjoyed] the opportunities that they have offered, from research to volunteer work, and the support system of advisors and faculty in the Honors College.

With the small class sizes, it felt like I was able to connect with my professors and my classmates on a closer level than in some of the other classes I had taken outside the Honors College.

Being in the Honors College, above everything else, exposed me to a vibrant, welcoming, and supportive community that transformed my undergraduate career.
